The Dark Knight Rises had a record breaking weekend at the box office. Opens to $249 million worldwide(1370 Crore INR)

$160.9 million(884 Crore INR)Earn At Domestic Boxoffice which is the Third-highest opening weekend of all-time behind The Avengers ($207.4 million)(1138 Crore INR) and HP Deathly Hallows – Part 2 ($169.2 million)(929 Crore INR)..

This makes it the biggest opening ever for a 2D title, beating The Dark Knight’s $158.4 million opening(871 Crore INR). And also breaks IMAX records with $23.8 million worldwide(130 Crore INR)
